Each unique individual has traits in which help create their identity. Every person has things about themselves that are hidden as well as those they reveal to the world. Before anyone can get to know another, one may build a stereotype towards the person in order to formulate an opinion on them which may be the farthest thing from the truth. As I walk through my high school hallways, I put on a non expressive face. It is rather a more sour face than anything. This is not my intention but it just so happens that I do not look like a very happy person when I am just going about my business. It is because of this that I hear from my friends, “I thought you didn’t like me when I first met you! You had this certain look on your face….”. I have indeed gotten this said to me by a few of my friends which personally I think is hilarious because that is never the case. My overt personalities vs my concealed personality traits are somewhat opposite and similar. My overt personality traits include loud, quiet (depends on my surroundings as well as the people), indecisive, honest, and pessimistic. In reality, or my concealed personality traits, I am flexible, optimistic, impatient, open minded, selfless, and forgiving. The most intriguing thing I can find about a person are their interests. I have quite a few such as music, design, art, animals, hiking, camping, quantum physics, and jammin out with my friends! I share these interests with a few of my close friends who are Sarah, Kira, Susie, David, and Raquel. I believe that if you have a few very close friends than you are socially set and to me it is better than having a huge group of friends where drama stirs and lingers. Another very important aspect of how one is the person they are today are their morals and values. My morals lie in the decisions people and myself make. I believe that you should be your own person no matter what seems popular at the time or if all your friends are doing does not mean you should tag along. Another things I firmly believe in is that you are can go crazy and far with your actions because this is the only life you will have but there IS a line and many times people do not know where that line is. People take their actions too far, they don’t think of the consequences and once something has been done, you can not take it back. I do not have many secrets but many people don’t know that I am adopted from Russia. In fact my real name is Aleksandra Sasha Murashkina Dmitrievna :-) Speaking of actions, mine are at times on the spot. I usually go with my gut and my intuition. I never go with the crowd and I am my own person when it comes to the things I decide to do.

Not finished yet but I am trying to put my friend as Frodo and I am Sam from the Lord of the Rings! :D

For my design object I chose a piece of fabric. This to me is a good and simple representation of good design. Each line is evenly spaced out and the proportions seem to work well with the design as a whole. There is a small amount of contrast between colors which makes it more simple in my opinion. I think this adds to the object, especially when you take a first glance at it. The large fringes on the right and left give it a cool effect and add some spice to it. There are small triangles on the bottom and top of the fabric. This also adds some “spice” to the piece and without it, it would be a much more bland design. There are little detailed dark lines within the lighter strands, almost like a skunk. This gives it a better appeal and makes it more exciting to look at.

There are numerous things that go into account when thinking about what makes good design. In fact there is almost an endless possibility. The designer could know what he or she wants or perhaps even let their imagination drift off into a world of the unknown. Although this could be risky, the end result could astonish them. This falls into experimentation which in many cases turn out to be successful. Design itself consists of many factors including composition, contrast, color, text and font use, the organization of the piece, mood, proportion, the meaning of the design and much more. To me the most important to consider are composition, color, text, proportion and the mood of the design. The mood can tell a little about the designer and their intentions of the design. It also adds to their own style which is very important when it comes to finding ones self connection with art in general. Composition and proportion go hand in hand, meaning that when you think about one you also must think of the other in order to accomplish your thoughts. If each of these are done correctly or in the way you pictured then it can really help create a professional looking design. With the wrong proportion and composition, your design could come out looking like a child created it or just plain ugly. Color is what makes art unique and exciting to look at. There is such a vast variety of colors and with the ability to mix and contrast them can make the most wonderful design. Color can make ones design cohesive and tie it together.
